Sweetness Feels Like Home
I can’t believe I’m finally sharing this… Today I’m launching my new name — Maison De Treats — and honestly, it feels like coming home.
I grew up in Montreal, surrounded by that beautiful French energy — the pastries, the cafés… it was feeling. It was love. When I moved, I have always missed that part of me. It’s stayed with me all these years — and now it’s part of this new beginning.
Maison means “home” in French. And, that’s exactly what baking has always been for me. Home is where I started — baking birthday cakes for my kids, treats for family celebrations, trying new things, making memories with every recipe.
Baking From the Heart
The name feels so right because every single thing I make comes from that same place The kitchen, the heart, the memories, the love.
It’s also why I care so much about what goes into my treats. When I found out how many chemicals were hidden in pastries, I couldn’t unsee it. I knew there had to be a better way — cleaner, but still full of that real homemade magic and STILL absolutely delicious. So I threw myself into learning. I took pastry courses, trained under an inspiring chef who taught me how to create a vegan egg that mimics a real egg — and that completely changed everything. It allowed me to bake cakes and pastries that stayed soft, moist, rich… without all the junk. Cakes that still feel like home.
And now, here we are. Maison De Treats is officially open. A little house of sweetness, where love rises warm and delicious — and where every bite feels like home.
